The GNOME Art Collection written in ruby is a collection of tools for managing art from the art.gnome.org website.
GNOME Art
This is the graphical frontend for art.gnome.org. Backgrounds and all themes can be downloaded and previewed. Backgrounds, icon themes and splash screens can be installed directly.
GNOME Splash Screen Manager
This application is for managing the splash screens of the GNOME desktop.

20.04.2005 - GNOME Art 0.2 and GNOME Splash Screen Manager 0.2 released
Because of some problems with the version 0.1, I decided to release the version 0.2 ahead of time. The new version is available now with some new features (caching, installing window border themes etc.). Take a look at the changelogs:

Installation
After downloading and unpacking the archive you have to run a "sh setup.sh" in the gnome-art directory. That's all ;)
Now you can run the applications with:
gnome-art
gnome-splashscreen-manager
